Bad moving days
One needs to choose carefully when it comes to hiring a company to help one move. If you know very little about the company and the price is significantly lower than the competition or the deposit is very high, then you are probably about to be highly dissatisfied by the work you will receive
Take John, for instance.John hired a moving company that he found online. You wouldn’t think that bad businesses advertise there, but inept companies can be on the web just like any other moving company.
We are all unfortunately looking for a good deal to save a buck here and there. When John saw the low price, he was sold immediately.
The ad said there were two men, highly professional and very experienced, fast packers as well as the price per hour.
John called the company and was won over by the estimated time it would take to complete the move as well as the price. Less hours meant a cheaper price.Other moving companies estimated that the job would take 6 to 8 hours but this company said it would take 2 or 3 at the most. John loved this of course.
So John arranged the move and felt confident about everything. The truck showed up on time which won John over even more. He stepped outside and noticed that there was no branding on the vehicle at all and his stomach sunk a little. It is very weird for a moving company to have no branding on the vehicle at all but he ignored it and continued towards the truck.
Alarms immediately started going off in Johns head when he met the owner. What’s more, the two movers that accompanied the owner didn’t even know each other’s names. It was as if the owner just stopped somewhere and picked them up off the street.
The move ended being terrible and it took eighthours instead of the estimated two hours. The owner was quite a disgusting individual who just walked around swearing at his two “workers” all day.
John later found out that the owner was driving around and grabbing people off the street to help him with the move. He was getting cheap labour, they were making money, it was a win win for everyone except John.
As it turns out, the owner was pretty much homeless and he lived in the back of the truck. Obviously the workers had no idea what they were doing and they ended up damaging furniture and a couple of large appliances such as the fridge.
So rather go with a company you know you can trust. Entrust Bettermoves to take care of all your moving requirements to avoid being in the same sinking boat as John.
